NeoSpeak Philosophy

To launch a new line of speakers in a market already mature with many acclaimed and recognizable brand names needed some level of wishful ambition and idealism. A victim of the general dissatisfaction that afflicts many an audiophile, when it comes to equipment, Neospeak Audio was begun by audiophiles who were looking for speakers with great sound quality - and a price the average wage earner could afford.

Living on Canada's west coast, where there were no speaker manufacturers that we were aware of, added impetus to the dream. Why not begin the only speaker company in Western Canada and create a new line of Western Canadian speakers? And why not follow the example of other successful companies and sell exclusively through the Internet?

And so, after years of speaker design and marketing for foreign markets, our adventure began.

Neospeak Audio is neither a mass production company, nor a high-end manufacturer. We believe great speaker design and manufacture is a combination of art skills and technology. If we combine high-end art and driver technology with lower cost but effective components, such as enclosures, we can produce great sounding speakers at mass production price. Of course, there will be some compromises compared to current high-end speakers but we can enjoy a better performance-to-cost ratio.

Our flagship floor standing speaker, NeoCeramic, incorporates the same mid ceramic driver as such highly regarded manufacturers. To enhance the superior qualities of ceramic midrange, we have chosen a top of the line ScanSpeak Revelator tweeter and Seas aluminum cone woofers for matching drivers. Matched with judicious choice of enclosure and crossover, we believe we have been able to deliver on our goal.

We do not think in terms of limitation, even for our more budgeted priced products. Budget sometimes means just price and sometimes price is just a number. We take pride in our skill and experience that are poured equally into all our speakers.

For example, our budget bookshelf speakers, NeoTetra, utilize a copper ring on top of the pole piece to reduce distortion due to the non-linearity of magnetic fields. It is a rare feature in the 'budget' price range, but common among high-end speakers. NeoTetra also utilizes our own proprietary Kevlar membrane woofers and aluminum metal dome tweeters for superior sound quality and product value.

By using an advantageous mix of suppliers from around the world, and assembling the final product by hand, we are able to add our art skills to technology - which is just a tool to better sound.
